I've been reading your emails for some months now and I must admit they
have helped me put
several things into perspective, things that I "kinda knew" deep within
to actually REALIZING
them.
Several months ago I broke up with the first girl I had deep feelings
for and have been feeling the
after effects for longer than I would have anticipated or liked.
In any case just when I was getting around to getting back with my life
I had an unexpected
encounter, one from the past.
Five years ago a much younger and naive myself was flirting with an even
younger girl, one that, at
the time, was underaged and seriously in need of finding her bearings.
Nevertheless, I must admit
that I was very intrigued by her, the fact that it was obvious she liked
me a lot certainly helped. I
never got around to actually doing anything though. For all this time we
had kept very basic
contact, wishing each other at our birthdays through SMS.
Fast forwarding to two days ago I met her again in a bus, along with her
sister (which I already
knew) and her father. She started to try and introduce us but when she
mentioned my (first) name
he immediately recognized who I was in terms of how/when we knew each
other AND,
where/what I was studying in the University.
She looked somewhat embarrassed about that but I acted as if it didn't
made any impression on
me and for those few minutes until they got off I had a casual talk with
all three.
Since then however I've been wondering what chances I'd have of getting
together with her after all
this time as well as how appropriate first date she'd be after my break
up, especially considering
she isn't one I'd like to just fool around with... (still, this does
seem as the perfect chance if there
ever was one...)
I'd really like to hear what you think about it.
